Iran to launch Dousti Satellite by year end

TEHRAN, Oct. 30 (MNA) – The head of Iranian Space Agency said Sharif University’s Dousti satellite is ready for launch and voiced optimism that it will be launched by the end of the year.

Speaking at the 23th Iranian International Press and News Agencies Exhibition, head of Iranian space agency Mohsen Bahrami said “Sharif University’s satellite named Dousti (Friendship) is scheduled for launch and we plan to send it to space by the end of the year.”

Launching a satellite has a difficult procedure so it is not possible to decide the exact time of launch, Bahrami added.

Concerning Amir Kabir University’s satellite, the Iranian official said “this satellite will also be ready and delivered this year. We hope to launch AUT’s satellite 6 months after receiving it.”
